11.05.03 The Detachment Kit put the finishing touches on their new album the other day. We've heard it, and it's absolutely amazing. The show at Northsix for CMJ was incredible, as well. 2004 is going to be a very exciting year for The Detachment Kit.

09.20.03 Check out MTV's new commercial featuring "Dead Angels Make Slow Sound" on the air right now! (it's the one with the kid running out of the school and jumping the fence).

01.23.03 Check out the video for "Sitting Still, Talking About Jets" up at insound and register to win some free stuff, too!

09.10.02 "They Raging. Quiet Army" has been re-packaged with lyrics, extra photos, and a video for "Sitting Still, Talking About Jets". It's available for purchase now!

01.23.02 Pitchfork reviews The Detachment Kit record here.

The Detachment Kit are from Chicago, and they're good. We say it that way, because the two things don't go together very often. The Detachment Kit are definitely post-post-something, but we're not quite sure what. Yeah, they've listened to a bunch of Les Savy Fav, Enon, Devo, and Gang Of Four, but they've also listened to Built To Spill and those British bands and lots of other stuff, too. What comes out is probably best described as dark pop. And it's good. Very good.
